Why Deaf21 has been altered to separate sections?
Even though Deaf21 began with an intent to write about oralism, that was indeed an overview of how I had been affected by oralism. Within a short while it was realised a number of other concepts could be drawn up too as a means of highlighting the issues that oralism (and paternalism, audism whatever) continue to pose – not just for me but for countless others too.
This blog proved to be a struggle for me too. How to best present it and how to ensure that its main page was how it ought to be – namely the oppressions suffered and which were the exact reason for the idea of starting a blog in the first place.
Besides that, a number of posts on several other matters – ranging from The Volta Bureau to Alexander Graham Bell, from Harlan Lane to the 17th Century, and an expose on one of the leading oralists was also being written with new information not published before were also written and there was considerable enthusiasm for the idea of quite unusual and never before researched topics – rather like one other blog that is managed which looks at social situations, policing, abuses, violence, reality and the rest of it.
A handful will know I was indeed doing this work because I mentioned a number of avenues being explored in regards to that and actual places or sources were referenced – and those shocked people. I might possibly be able to reference that on this particular blog because it was the oralist approach that affected my life considerably, however in doing that it would likely take away from what I am personally writing about.
From there it was decided to separate the posts into different blogs (some of the research to another blog of mine) however that didn’t seem to work very well when I actually transferred the post and then tried to alter the blog so it sort of fitted the whole schema – deaf issues and other issues. It wasn’t really satisfactory in any way. However one post found there seemed as if it would perhaps be better in Deaf21 so its been transferred!
The idea of doing separate sections in Deaf 21 was entertained even though previous experience has shown it is very problematic. It was indeed very troublesome however and it proved to be buggy and only worked to a limited extent. After some trial and tribulation it was just about achieved – its not entirely satisfactory in how it works but its a start. Thus one section now features the original stuff which Deaf21 was intended to focus upon whilst the newer section contains the research articles that have been done so far.
Anyway it was hard work – and tiring too – however I quite enjoyed it because it was a new and fresh outlook compared to the other blogs and that in large because I had been able (unlike almost all the other other stuff on oralism) to depict a completely new perspective on the subject. Its tiring because I manage some other blogs too and one other is currently about transport and yet another is about social situations, policing, racism, police and race issues, philosophy, reification, the concept of reality etc – this latter being where I pursue new perspectives and radical thought. Evidently some of that thought is also used in the fact based research articles within Deaf21.
As has been said, the original idea of this blog was really to write about my experiences under oralism – which I have done with the post below. Not only that the blog itself opens with these very articles featured. To view the other section one must go here – Fact Based Articles.
The next aforementioned post also has a fair amount of things that I have experienced in my life too – including the fact I am a left winger and yet have been very disproportionally affected by other left wingers and woke people.
Thus that is to be the case with this section – its mainly about how I have experienced life under oralism – and worse.
